Why Climate Concern?

Climate change is already impacting millions of people around the world by increasing the frequency and/or intensity of natural hazards, such as floods and droughts, and through more gradual, insidious changes in temperature and rainfall affecting weather patterns and seasons. It presents a tremendous risk to human development, threatening to undermine decades of progress in the fight to end poverty.

Around the world, communities, civil society, institutions, governments and international bodies are starting to develop strategies, policies, and programmes to tackle this complex social, environmental, and developmental problem. At Climate Concern we seek to work with our partners to ensure that these solutions not only work, but are
fair, equitable and of benefit to those most at risk.
OUR VISION:  A world free from poverty and injustice where humans care for each other and the planet.

OUR MISSION: To support individuals, communities and institutions to address climate change and disasters through effective policy and practice interventions at local, national and international levels.

OUR VALUES:
  • Honesty and integrity
  • Participation and accountability
  • Flexibility and responsiveness.
